Kampala, Uganda - The Africa Study Center, in partnership with Kiboko Group and Vision Crafted Consults, hosted a consultative meeting on the theory of change for family-owned businesses in Ugandaon the 5th of January 2023. The event was moderated by Mr. Kiyaga Kenneth from Vision Crafted Consults and featured panel discussions by Mr. William Kayongo from DFCU Bank, Lydia Matte, a lawyer and country manager Stichting SEMA, and Rinaldi Jamugisa, a marketing and PR expert.
Africa Study Center is a non-profit organization lead by disciplined, culturally aligned, academic individuals whose main motto in life is to focus on organically nurturing a society whose feet stand firmly on the foundations of their ancestral achievements while striving to pave a true way to further the future generations.
The meeting brought together 24 participants from a variety of business ventures, including tourism, metalworks and fabrications, hotels, just to mention a few. Mr. Ramesh Babu, General Manager of Kiboko Group, delivered the welcome remarks, and Dr. Ram Vaidya spoke about the Africa Study Center.
The centre aims to provide roadmap for Africa-related academic, research, and skilling activities which will provide opportunities for collaborative opportunities with partners in the continent. The center focuses on creating bonds between scholars and an effectuator.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest developments in the theory of change for family-owned businesses and to exchange ideas and best practices with industry experts and peers.
