Africa Study Centre regularly invites various leaders, social entrepreneurs, employment generators, intellectuals, scholars, writers, wellness experts. naturist and artistes among many others who are interested in African upliftment and knowledge sharing. Members of our Centre are affiliated with other faculties in academia which includes Economy, International affairs, Anthropology, Science and History. The Centre’s governing council consists of dedicated group of statesmen, entrepreneurs, civil society activists, journalist and philanthropists.

The centre aims to provide roadmap for Africa-related academic, research, and skilling activities which will provide opportunities for collaborative opportunities with partners in the continent. The center focuses on creating bonds between scholars and an effectuator. The African economies, population and problems are all growing together. Hence we must not looking at Africa just as a growth but as a continent which can learn and do better than its aged peers. Overall we are a team of spirited individuals from varied backgrounds coming together for the cause of upliftment of Africa as a whole.

Kiyaga Kenneth : General Secretary

Kiyaga Kenneth is a Certified Financial Analyst with degrees in Economics from Darsalam university, B.com from Mysore University and a masters in Social quantum Economics from Royal Roads university, whose path has led him to working with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights as an associate economist.

As a senior grants manager for 6years before starting Vision Crafted Consults, a consultancy firm dealing in grants management and assessments, variance management and assessment, knowledge management, Needs assessments and feasibility surveys.Kenneth is also a farmer engaged in medium sized crop husbandry.

Deepti Kataria : Secretary

Mrs. Deepti , an energetic and passionate speaker currently residing in Egypt, brings extensive academic expertise cultivated during her tenure as an educator in Cairo. She has presented papers on physics and authored articles focusing on training and sustainability at various international forums. In her role as secretary of the Africa Study Centre, she regularly collaborates with prominent African leaders through podcasts and editorials, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Africa.

Deepti is an Electrical Engineering graduate along with higher studies of Business management .She has been living in Egypt for more than 2 decades working as an educator. She has been invited as a speaker at various international platforms, including Ethiopia, Nigeria, South Africa, Thailand. Her papers have also been published internationally. She has been featured on Egyptian National TV, addressing a wide range of topics including comparative education systems and broader societal issues. In her role as Secretary of ASC, she regularly collaborates with prominent African leaders through podcasts and editorials, showcasing the richness of Africa. She has also been selected for African Women of the year 2024 award by Women in Africa: Nigeria Chapter

Her involvement in organizations like the PAN African General Council underscores her commitment to preserving traditional values while embracing modern learning approaches.

Dr Gedion Omwono : Guardian

Dr Gedion was born in Kenya and is an economics scholar and consultant who holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (B.com) from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, formerly Agra university. He also has an MBA (finance & International finance management) and Doctorate degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Business Management & Studies (Mumbai).

Dr. Gedion is currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Business Management & Economics postgraduate school University of Kigali Rwanda as well as immediate former senior lecturer, The Arab Academy of Banking and Financial Sciences, Republic of Djibouti.
